Beautiful Tragedy

Look upon a flower and read it like a story

Beginning at the end of every wishing moment

Where hedges in bloom reflect on the water

By bridges and passages written for ways

That pictures ask words to blossom into love

Some petals falling to drift upstream in rivers

Others sailing like dreams in freedom’s wind

But one waits on the whim of a lover’s query

Just for brush of breath into her velvet heart

Does she give up her life to romantic longing

Naked and ravished in desire’s aftermath

As Dead men have died to tell no tales

So has passion’s daisy only lived to do
